1980s Kitchen Renovation

Compact Yet Functional

When we arrived at this 1980s kitchen, the space looked very dated and lacked utility for our clients’ routines. However, the small footprint was definitely a challenge. Our clients requested a lighter, brighter space that would serve them well, and with the size constraints, we had to get creative! We worked within the footprint of the existing layout, added more storage, and created a bright and fresh color palette with a mosaic backsplash, light gray cabinetry, and quartzite counters. Perhaps our clients’ favorite feature is the new beverage center located just off the kitchen. This setup allows for even more storage and functionality. It’s perfect for entertaining with hors d’oeuvres, allowing guests to serve themselves, and keeping the non-essentials outside of the kitchen space. Their kitchen area is now beautiful, sensible, and personal.
