Steve is CKD’s founder and Certified Residential Contractor (CRC) in Florida. His early career started with his family’s business, Creative Kitchen Designs in Woodstock, GA, which included a design showroom and on-site cabinet manufacturing facility. After receiving requests for full-service renovations, Steve received his general contractor’s license and founded CKD Remodeling in 1986.
Though originally headquartered in Atlanta, CKD Remodeling saw 35 years of success before relocating to the Milton, Florida area in 2021. Steve received his CRC license in Florida and has since renovated bathrooms, kitchens, and whole homes throughout the Pensacola area.
When he is not on the job site, Steve can be found cooking something delicious (he’s a former professional), spending time with his wife and rescue dogs, or out on the water.

Lead Interior Designer
Sarah is an Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Designers and a WCAA Certified Window Coverings Specialist. Before joining CKD Remodeling, Sarah owned and operated her own full-service interior design studio and custom window treatment workroom for 25 years.
Then and now, Sarah specializes in helping clients’ identify the way they want their homes to look, feel, and function. With each client as the inspiration, Sarah creates floor plans, selects materials and fixtures, sources furnishings, and designs custom drapery and shades — all while working closely with Steve to keep projects on track.
In her free time, Sarah can be found enjoying Steve’s cooking, spending time with their rescues (Oakley and Millie), seeking local art festivals, and being active in events with the Milton Garden Club, Chamber of Commerce, and their local church.

Part of our full-service promise includes contracting any necessary trades for your project. We have a wide and well-vetted network of specialists we trust in the Gulf Coast, including electricians, plumbers, and other skilled trades.
During our preliminary client consultation, we will advise you on which roles are likely to be needed.
